Within the university, the Centre for Communication and Information Processing initiated the Cumulus project. The result is a complex, cross-campus DAM system for staff, students, and public users. Its purpose is to manage and provide easy access to documents, images, and videos.

The following tasks were implemented by CDS Gromke e.K. within this continuously growing project:

• Database conceptualization

• Installation and basic configuration of databases, sets, and initial users

• Implementation of the permissions concept based on an existing authentication system

• Administrator training

• Customization of three web applications with individual screen design

• Integration with a streaming server for access to streaming formats of the managed videos

• Technical support as second-level support (SLS)
