Since 2022, the Kreismuseum Grimma has entrusted us with several demanding digitization projects. Within these projects, approximately 2,000 posters, 400 historical maps, and 460 copperplate engravings from the museum’s collection were digitized and archived.

A particular challenge lay in the large-scale and highly detailed maps. To ensure that no information was lost, each map was digitized in multiple high-resolution sections and then seamlessly merged into complete digital images.

After stitching, the files were automatically measured to guarantee precise documentation and archiving. This meticulous process ensured the highest quality and accuracy of the digital reproductions and made a significant contribution to the preservation and accessibility of the cultural heritage of Kreismuseum Grimma.
