The Press Department of Leipzig University uses fylr as a central image and media archive. The system manages both image data and documents.

The following tasks were implemented by CDS Gromke e.K. within this continuously growing project:

• Database conceptualization

• Installation and configuration of databases, sets, and user accounts

• Administrator training

• Staff training

• Development of customized web applications

• Technical support as first-level support (FLS)

For the Press Department of Leipzig University, CDS Gromke e.K. digitized several years of scientific publications from the period when they were still conventionally typeset. From these, electronically readable multi-page PDF files were created. These files were then automatically imported into the fylr database, where they can now be searched via full-text search without any additional manual effort.
